How the CRS works
The Comprehensive Ranking System scores every Express Entry profile out of 1,200. IRCC invites the highest-ranked candidates in each draw, so what matters is your score against that draw's cut-off, not a fixed pass mark.
Age, education, English/French, Canadian work experience.
Partner's education, language and Canadian work.
Education or foreign work combined with strong language or Canadian experience.
PNP 600, French up to 50, Canadian study up to 30, sibling 15.
What changes on 3 November 2026
| Wage level (vs Canada median) | High-wage Canadian work (extra) | Qualifying job offer |
|---|---|---|
| 2× median or more | +70 | 100 |
| 1.5× median or more | +40 | 70 |
| 1.3× median or more | +20 | 50 |
You receive whichever is higher: duration-based Canadian experience plus high-wage points (up to 150, or 140 with a partner), or the job offer points. They are not added together. Source: IRCC backgrounder, 16 October 2026.
What scores won draws in 2026
Most 2026 invitations went to category-based draws. Check which one you actually qualify for, because your score alone does not decide that. Figures below are recent rounds as of October 2026 and change with every draw.
| Draw type | Recent CRS cut-offs | Who it targets |
|---|---|---|
| Canadian Experience Class | 509 – 523 | Skilled work experience in Canada |
| French-language | 382 – 420 | NCLC 7+ in French |
| Trades, healthcare, transport | 470 – 476 | Experience in those occupations |
| Provincial Nominee Program | 697 – 772 | Nominated by a province (+600) |

CRS calculator FAQs
What is a good CRS score in 2026?
There is no single number. Recent draw cut-offs ran from the 380s for French-language rounds to the 470s for trades and healthcare, around 510 to 523 for Canadian Experience Class, and above 690 for provincial nominees. A good score is one that clears the draw you are eligible for.
Do job offers give CRS points?
Job offer points were removed on 25 March 2025. From 3 November 2026 they return for qualifying high-wage job offers (50, 70 or 100 points) with no LMIA needed. They cannot be combined with high-wage Canadian work experience points.
How long does my score stay valid?
Your profile can stay in the pool for up to 12 months. If you are not invited in that time, you need to submit a new profile.
Does my spouse change my score?
Yes. With an accompanying partner, your own factors use a different table and your partner can add up to 40 points for education, language and Canadian work experience.
How accurate is this calculator?
It follows the published IRCC tables and is meant as a close estimate. Your official score is set when you submit your profile, so verify it with IRCC or a regulated consultant.
